Granite

Granite is a type of igneous rock and, although porous, is a hard and durable stone that will retain its original look for a lifetime. It can be honed or polished, is heat and scratch resistant, and extremely sanitary.

Being a natural stone, granite will need to be sealed, usually once per year, depending on what type you choose. Lighter colors will also need to be sealed more often than darker ones.

A definite advantage of granite is that it's available in a wide spectrum of colors and patterns, with over 500 different Basic and Exotic selections to choose from.

Granite is very versatile and can be used in kitchens and bathrooms or on fireplaces, BBQs, walls, flooring, or for any countertop.

There are always many more styles of granite available than shown on this page.
