- Type of basin (single or double)
- Style of mount (top mount, undermount, apron/farmer's)
- Material (stainless steel, enamel cast iron, fireclay)

Many clients with solid surface counters such as granite or engineered stone often choose a stainless steel sink because of its undermount capability (stainless is often the best choice for wear as well).
